Hey, what’s going on, it’s HR from 2TheMillBeats.com, Traffic for Beats.

Today we’re going to talk about traffic because I see a lot of producers, they want to get traffic, but they get overwhelmed because there’s so much traffic sources online that they don’t know which ones to choose.

Today we’re going to talk about five traffic sources that we use for our music production business, to our squeeze page, to our articles, etc.

No. 1, YouTube.

YouTube is very important right now for music promotion and for us, producers, it’s really easy because all we have to do is upload an image and the Beat.

All we have to do is upload an image and a Beat and our video is done, we don’t have to be there all day talking to the camera.

You know what I’m saying? Like I’m doing right now.

But YouTube is very important and I see a lot of mistakes being made by producers, by artists, by a lot of people because they upload, maybe like 50, 60 videos on YouTube and I see that none of the videos are optimized for the YouTube or Google charts.

Hey, what’s going on, it’s HR and 2TheMillBeats.com, Traffic for Beats. Today we’re going to talk about traffic because I see a lot of producers, they want to get traffic, but they get overwhelmed because there’s so much traffic sources online that they don’t know which ones to choose. Today we’re going to talk about five traffic sources that we use for our website to drive traffic to our Beats, to our squeeze page, to our articles, etc. No. But YouTube is very important and I see a lot of mistakes being made by producers, by artists, by a lot of people because they upload, maybe like 50, 60 videos on YouTube and I see that none of the videos are optimized for the charts, optimized for the YouTube or Google charts. This is a huge mistake because if you don’t have a huge fan base, how do you think people are going to find your video on YouTube? They’re not going to find the video if your video is not optimized, if your video file is not optimized. For example, let’s say you want to rank for MnM-type beats. Your video file has to be optimized for MnM-type beats, your title, your YouTube title, your description, you can also add description to a link in the description, which is very important to drive traffic to your offer or to your squeeze pages. Note, you got to optimize the description, optimize tags, this is really important because you want your video to rank on YouTube, that’s how we generate traffic back to our website. YouTube is very, very important to drive traffic to your website. No. 2, Twitter. You know everybody is on Twitter and everybody in the music industry is on Twitter, from A&Rs, from other producers, from rappers, from record companies, everybody is on Twitter and you never know who’s going to see your tweet, you never know, you just got to be up on Twitter. If you don’t have a Twitter account, get up on Twitter, open your account and start building your fan base and there’s a lot of automatic tools out there that you can use to post tweets automatically. That’s what we use, we usually post tweets every hour and this is great because you don’t have to be on Twitter each and every day trying to post your music links. So Twitter is very important to drive traffic to your website. Like I said, you can drive the traffic to squeeze pages, to your Beats, to your offers, etc. Next is old school traffic strategies. A lot of people say article marketing is dead and I don’t agree with that. Article marketing is as strong as ever, it’s just people got lazy. We at Traffic For Beats and 2TheMillBeats.com, we take one article and we basically triple our traffic off just one article because we repurpose that article to YouTube videos, to Power Point presentations, to PDF files, etc. So it’s really important. It sounds like a lot of work, but if you’re willing to put in the work to build a successful music production business online, you will do the work. Also, we got forums. Forums, your targeted market is in forums. If you’re a producer, go to Sound Click Forums, go to Future Producers Forums and just build a relationship with the people there. Just don’t go up in there trying to sell your Beats, you have to provide value for everybody in there, all the producers in there and they will likely click on your signature link, very important. Forums, your targeted traffic, your targeted audience is in there, is in forums basically. It’s an old school traffic source, but it works. Next, Facebook ads. This right here is the cream of the crop right now. Facebook ads is very powerful right now. You can actually build your whole business through Facebook ads, but you have to know how to market your ads, how to create your ads, what audience are you targeting, you have to know that before you get into Facebook because you could lose money. Anyway, you’re going to lose money testing and tracking, so maybe you create an ad, maybe a $100 ad. Maybe $50 of that budget you’re going to waste, you’re not going to get your money back, because you’re going to have to test and track, you’re going to have to know what’s working, what’s converting, and what’s not. You have to know what images are getting the most clicks, etc. Facebook ads, I’m not bull—I don’t want to say it, but Facebook ads are very powerful right now. Your targeted audience, you can find that on Facebook ads with custom audience, with everything. It’s very, very powerful right now on Facebook ads. Next, we got email marketing. Email marketing is so powerful. Your business, you should focus 95% of your business in building your email list. Imagine you have 10,000 subscribers, 20,000 subscribers, when you have a Beat sale, all you have to do is send an email. If your Beat is hot, you’re going to make sales, build that email list and provide value for your subscribers is very, very important, because if you build your email list with YouTube, with Twitter, with the old school traffic like article marketing or forums, Facebook ads, you keep building that email list and there’s going to come a time that you don’t even need YouTube, Twitter and article marketing, forums, Facebook ads, you’re not even going to need that because you already have a huge fan base of people who are interested in Beats, interested in you because you provide a value for them and it’s very important, you can just send out an email and—boom—sales, sales come in. You can do affiliate marketing here, you can do everything with this email. Email is very powerful and that’s what we focus on on the Traffic for Beats Course. Take these five traffic sources and work with them because they’re very powerful. Build your email list with YouTube, Twitter, article marketing, forums, Facebook ads. Build your email list with these traffic sources and in the future, when you have 10,000, 20,000 followers, basically you won’t need none of these, your traffic is right here. I’m not saying don’t keep using them, just keep building that list, but your traffic will be here on your email list. I want to thank you for watching this video. This is a huge mistake because if you don’t have a huge fan base, how do you think people are going to find your video on YouTube?

They’re not going to find the video if your video is not optimized, if your video file is not optimized.

For example, let’s say you want to rank for Eminem-type beats.

Your video file has to be optimized for Eminem-type beats, your title, your description, you can also add  a link in the description, which is very important to drive traffic to your offer or to your squeeze pages or to straight to your music production business.

Note, you have to optimize the description, optimize tags, this is really important because you want your video to rank on YouTube, that’s how we generate traffic back to our website.

YouTube is very, very important to drive traffic to your website.

No. 2, Twitter.

Everybody is on Twitter and everybody in the music industry is on Twitter, from A&Rs, from other producers, from rappers, from record companies, everybody is on Twitter and you never know who’s going to see your tweet, you just have to be up on Twitter.

If you don’t have a Twitter account, get up on Twitter, open your account and start building your fan base and there’s a lot of automatic twitter tools out there that you can use to post tweets automatically.

Twitter music promotion

That’s what we use, we usually post tweets every hour and this is great because you don’t have to be on Twitter each and every day trying to post your music links.

So Twitter is very important to drive traffic to your website. Like I said, you can drive the traffic to squeeze pages, to your Beats, to your offers, etc.

Next is old school traffic strategies.

A lot of people say article marketing is dead and I don’t agree with that.

Article marketing is as strong as ever, it’s just people got lazy.

We at Traffic For Beats and Inhouseproducers.com, we take one simple article that we get outsourced and we basically triple our traffic off just one article because we repurpose that article to YouTube videos, to Power Point presentations, to PDF files, etc.

You’re going to lose money testing and tracking, so maybe you create an ad, maybe a $100 ad.

Maybe $50 of that budget you’re going to waste, you’re not going to get your money back, because you’re going to have to test and track, you’re going to have to know what’s working, what’s converting, and what’s not.

You have to know what images are getting the most clicks, etc.  Facebook ads are very powerful right now.

Next, we got email marketing.

Email marketing is so powerful.

You should focus 95% of your business in building your email list. We use aweber to help us manage our email list but imagine you have 10,000 subscribers, 20,000 subscribers, when you have a Beat sale, all you have to do is send an email.

If your Beats are hot, you’re going to make sales, build that email list and provide value for your subscribers is very, very important, because if you build your email list with YouTube, with Twitter, with the old school traffic like article marketing…

or forums, Facebook ads, you keep building that email list and there’s going to come a time that you don’t even need YouTube, Twitter and article marketing, forums, Facebook ads, you’re not even going to need that because you already have a huge fan base of people who are interested in Beats, interested in you because you provide a value for them and it’s very important, you can just send out an email and—boom—sales, sales come in. You can do affiliate marketing here, you can do everything with this email.

Email is very powerful and that’s what we focus on the Traffic for Beats Course.

Take these five traffic sources and work with them because they’re very powerful.

Build your email list with YouTube, Twitter, article marketing, forums, Facebook ads. Build your email list with these traffic sources and in the future, when you have 10,000, 20,000 followers, basically you won’t need none of these, your traffic is right in your email list.

I’m not saying don’t keep using them, just keep building that list, but your traffic will be inside your email list.
